NEW YORK CITY—Cosentini Associates, a Tetra Tech Company, is moving its headquarters into George Comfort & Sons' office tower located at 498 Seventh Ave., leasing 60,000 square feet. The asking rent was in the low-$70s per square foot.

Based in Pasadena, CA, Tetra Tech is a consulting and engineering services firm, with offices around the world. Cosentini is part of the company's group which focuses on environmentally sustainable building design.

Staying in Midtown South, Cosentini will be moving during the first quarter of 2020 from 2 Penn Plaza. The Vornado building has the address of 390 Seventh Ave. and has direct access to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station.

Still close to Penn Station, the new office space at 498 Seventh Ave. is between W. 36th and W. 37th streets. George Comfort & Sons, Loeb Partners Realty and JP Morgan Chase Asset Management own the 25-story, 960,000-square-foot building that was originally constructed in 1921.

The owners are renovating the property. Upgrades include a new façade on the first two floors, and a lobby designed by Gensler that will have three street entrances in addition to two private lobbies for SEIU, the building's anchor tenant. Other tenants include CB Information Services, Transfix, Inc., Hazen & Sawyer and JP Morgan Chase Bank.

CBRE's Justin Aronson, Michael Liss, Christopher Mansfield and Adele Huang represented Tetra Tech. George Comfort & Sons was represented in-house by Andrew Conrad and Matt Coudert.
