NEW YORK CITY—Joseph Caraciolo has been named COO for Falcon Pacific Construction Holdings. In 2017, the New York City based company acquired Project Builders. It created two divisions: Falcon Pacific Construction, LLC, which focuses on interior construction, and Falcon Pacific Builders, LLC, which specializes in ground-up construction. In his new role, Caraciolo will direct the scheduling, coordination and supervision of all contracted building engineering and construction projects for both Falcon Pacific entities.
Kent M. Swig, president of Falcon Pacific Construction and Falcon Pacific Builders, announced the appointment. “We take great pleasure in this promotion for Joe and look forward to many more years of his contributions to the success of Falcon Pacific,” says Swig.
“I also look forward to contributing to the success and continued growth of Falcon Pacific Construction in the years ahead,” says Caraciolo.
Falcon Pacific reports that it is currently constructing over $225 million of new projects. Some of the developments underway include a 22-story, 200-room hotel at 36 West 38th St., an eight-story residential rental building at 28-16 21st St. in Astoria, Queens, and a gut renovation of a residential building at 148 Duane St. The company which works on projects throughout the tri-state area is owned and operated by Swig and Caraciolo along with Carl Schwartz.
Caraciolo will continue to serve as SVP and director of property management at Helmsley Spear, LLC where he supervises all aspects of the firm's property management portfolio.
He began his career in building management in 1985 as an engineer's helper at Rockefeller Center. He then became the watch engineer at a major Midtown high-rise office building while continuing his education in engineering and building management. In 2001, he accepted the chief engineer position at 48 Wall St.
Caraciolo has taught courses at a major technical school in New York, and was an instructor in several apprentice education programs for Local 94-94 A. He also served a four-year tour of service in the US Navy as a chief engineer in a nuclear powered submarine.
