Nearly 1,000 commercial real estate professionals turned up to watch NAIOP Southern California's annual Night at the Fights at the Irvine Hotel in Orange County. The event included two MMA fights and two rounds between industry professionals. This year, Stephen Madigan of Kidder Mathews went up against Jerry Fink of the Bascom Group LLC in round one, followed by a match between Nima Namdar of the Howard Building Corp. and Jonathan Giannola of Marcus & Millichap. Madigan and Namdar pulled through as champions of their respective rounds. The evening wasn't all fights. Attendees were severed dinner and treated to an after party with casino games and cigar smoking. The circus-themed event also included entertainment. Acrobats, contortionists, fortune teller, magician, stilt walker and aerialists performed for guests in the grand ball room. While the evening was filled with fun and games, it also served as a fundraiser for Building Block Foundation Fund, a local non-profit that leverages both financial and human resources from real estate professionals to support programs for disadvantaged children in Orange County. NAIOP presented a$10,000 check to the organization during the event. Scroll through the photos above to get an inside look at one of the most popular events in Southern California.
