Rapidly advancing through Cushman & Wakefield's property management operations to emerge as a leading female executive, Marla Maloney focuses on service delivery, client care, consistent improvement to the Asset Services operating platform and the steady growth of their 700+ million-square-foot portfolio.
For Maloney, property management continues to be an exciting niche in commercial real estate as the industry is ever-evolving.
“I've been in property management for 22 years and have seen rapid-fire change throughout the entire duration of my career. I find the continual change exciting, and it challenges us to deliver solutions that are innovative and on the edge of what's next,” says Marla Maloney, president of Asset Services in the Americas for Cushman & Wakefield.

As the property management sector evolves through technology, experiential management is a key trend for clients as they seek to differentiate their assets. With multiple avenues of technology, today's workforce can work from anywhere and so property managers are tasked with creating experiences that make coming to work compelling and meet the needs and preferences of each unique tenant mix, Maloney says.
Maloney additionally fulfills a critical role in merging and integrating Cushman & Wakefield's best practices and culture with the goal of motivating and inspiring nearly 4,000 associates to be excited about the firm's future and the services it provides. Her decades of experience has allowed her to tap a wealth of personal and professional growth opportunities.
“I started as a property manager and worked my way up through Cushman & Wakefield's property management operations and geographic leadership structure,” explains Maloney. “As a property manager, I embraced a “CEO” mentality and managed my properties as if I was the owner. This philosophy helped me learn how to effectively run a business and drive client results. I am fortunate to be surrounded by leaders who have a strong sense of commitment to our clients, our firm and the future growth of our business.”
