NEW YORK CITY—Anbang Insurance Group has selected Douglas Elliman Development Marketing to manage residential condominium sales for Waldorf Astoria New York. The property's 375 private luxury residences will be called the Towers of the Waldorf Astoria.

In March 2017, the Waldorf began its major renovations in converting the 1,423 rooms of the hotel known for its elegance and celebrity sightings into mostly condominiums. The building will include 350 newly built hotel rooms and suites, and renovated public and event spaces for guests. AECOM Tishman handled the demolition and construction. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2021.

Skimore, Owings & Merrill is the executive architect with Pierre Yves Rochon handling interior design. Noe & Associates is leading branding efforts.

“The meticulous revitalization of this beloved landmark is well underway, and we cannot wait to show a global audience what we have been creating. This will be a rare opportunity to own a home at one of the most special addresses in the world,” says Andrew Miller, executive director of development at Anbang.

The global real estate agency Knight Frank will work alongside Douglas Elliman as its exclusive international sales partner. Representatives from both companies are looking to attract clients from around the world.
