JERSEY CITY, NJ—A new residential project geared at providing a boost to the city’s neighborhood near the Hoboken border has opened its doors.
Last week, city officials, including Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, joined executives from the project development team BNE Real Estate Group, Hoboken Brownstone Co. and McKinney Properties at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open The Enclave, a new 260 luxury apartment development.
Located at 675 Monmouth St., the Minno & Wasko-designed building includes more than 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities. The project was intended to complement the neighborhood’s existing mix of retail, dining and cultural attractions while offering a convenient launching point to Manhattan, Downtown Jersey City and Hoboken.
“The opening of the Enclave is exciting for Jersey City as the new addition enhances the rapidly growing neighborhood where the City borders Hoboken,” says Mayor Steven Fulop. “The transformation of this land, from part of the Van Leer Chocolate Factory to new modern apartments, is a testament of our commitment to enhancing quality of life in every corner of this great city. This project was not only a major overhaul of this site, but it also creates jobs and entices people to consider calling Jersey City home.”
The grand opening was held on the six-story building’s rooftop amenities terrace with the New York City skyline as a backdrop. Marketing of the project began a month ago and the building’s marketing and exclusive leasing agent The Marketing Directors states that demand has been strong for the project and a number of residents have already moved into units at the property.
“This former industrial neighborhood has quickly transformed into Jersey City’s newest live/play environment,” says Jonathan Schwartz, a partner at BNE Real Estate Group. “The Enclave takes full advantage of its convenient location, which is enhanced by our complimentary shuttle service to the Hoboken PATH Station, yet offers residents a more private setting with welcomed outdoor open space. Inside, we’ve delivered stylish homes and a creative offering of amenities that focuses on fun.”
Apartments at The Enclave range from studios to two-bedroom residences, with select homes offering private balconies. Apartment features include nine-foot ceiling heights, white quartz countertops, modern stainless-steel appliances, in-home washer/dryers, and custom modular closets. Monthly rents start from $2,300, with a limited-time offer of one month free on a 13-month lease. Immediate occupancy is available.
Project amenities include y a resort-style rooftop terrace featuring a swimming pool, private BBQ areas, outdoor bar and a fire pit. The pet-friendly building also features a dog run and spa, multiple entertainment lounges, an arcade/game room, co-working spaces and conference room, children’s imagination room with connected outdoor play area and a Zen garden. The Enclave also includes a state-of-the art fitness center with virtual fitness programs, spin room, indoor/outdoor yoga areas, private massage room and resident locker rooms. Covered parking, bike storage and resident storage are available on-site.
“Downtown Jersey City continues to attract residents from both sides of the Hudson River and beyond with its exceptional combination of commuter convenience, vibrant arts, culture, dining and nightlife attractions, and value when compared with offerings in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island City,” says Jacqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors. “This neighborhood is continuing that trend, and The Enclave is quickly emerging as the area’s signature residential address.”
Other building features include 24-hour concierge, Amazon package lockers, pet concierge services through Bark Building, a Lyft partnership and pick up location, and a Citi Bike hub. The building is surrounding by outdoor landscaped open space and pedestrian plazas, while two new public parks created by the development partners are nearing completion and will feature a children’s playground and dog run.
