NEW YORK CITY—The Real Estate Board of New York honored brokers at its 21st Annual Retail Deal of the Year Awards cocktail party at Convene on Tuesday night.

REBNY President John H. Banks describes the deals as demonstrating the importance of innovative brick-and-mortar spaces in the constantly evolving retail market. “The award winners have demonstrated effective navigation of opportunities in the retail sector while positively contributing to the life and growth of New York businesses,” says Banks.

REBNY presented the Most Significant Retail Deal of the Year to Newmark Knight Frank's Jeffrey D. Roseman and Ross Kaplan for representing the building owner Fosun at 28 Liberty St. in their 40,000-square-foot lease to Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. The dine-in movie theater plans to open its 12-screen multiplex at the Financial District property in late 2019.
