BOONTON, NJ—AvalonBay Communities, Inc. has completed construction and opened its latest multifamily project in New Jersey—the 350-unit Avalon Boonton project.
Last week, the REIT staged a ribbon cutting for the mid-rise development. Among the dignitaries at the event included Boonton Mayor Matthew DiLauri, and Aldermen Michael Eoga, Cy Wekilsky, and Dr. William McBride, representatives from Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill's office, along with other municipal officials, AvalonBay executives, staff, contracted professionals and members of the New Jersey real estate community.

Mayor DiLauri said at the event, “What's great about Boonton is that there are a lot of little ingredients that make Boonton a special place and AvalonBay we are now proud to call one of those ingredients. We are really grateful that you chose us here and we are proud of the product that you have built and the economic development and that people will come here to shop our downtown and fall in love with our town and ultimately make Boonton their permanent home.”
Avalon Boonton features studio, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments and amenities that include a state-of-the-art fitness center with fitness-on-demand, yoga studio and free weight room, a large resident lounge with complementary Wifi, a pet spa, an expansive pool and pool deck, multiple courtyards with gas barbeque grills and tables, an outdoor kitchen, an outdoor fireplace with seating, a WAG pet park and a tot lot.
With the completion of construction, AvalonBay currently has two developments under construction in New Jersey— the 360-unit Avalon Piscataway, in Piscataway, NJ, and the 248-unit Avalon Teaneck in Teaneck, NJ.
