Cresset-Diversified QOZ Fund and Hines have announced plans to build North Wynkoop, a 10-story, 392-unit apartment complex in Denver's North River neighborhood, a designated opportunity zone. The project will be one of the first opportunity zone projects in the Denver market.

The North River area, or RiNo as it is called, is a growing cultural hub in Denver and has light rail access. North Wynkoop is part of a larger area redevelopment plan for the submarket that includes a hotel, event center and office building. Construction of North Wynkoop will begin in early 2020.

The Cresset-Diversified QOZ Fund is a $500 million fund focused on investing in QOZs. North Wynkoop is the second project in the fund.
