Avison Young Recruits Large Team from The Ezra Co.
The new team will boost Avison Young’s tenant advisory services in the greater Washington area.
WASHINGTON, DC—Avison Young has recruited a team of real estate and other professionals from The Ezra Co. Glenn Meltzer, Robert Katz and Eugene Martin are joining as principals and will continue to work together on office tenant, buyer representation and advisory services both in the Washington, DC area and across the US. At The Ezra Co., Meltzer was president, Katz was executive director and Martin executive vice president.
Also joining Avison Young from The Ezra Co. are VPs Colin Oppenheimer and Matthew Goldberg, IT project manager Sabin Bista, senior associate Brian Martin and Adina Nyce, marketing coordinator. They will be based in the Washington, DC area as well.

The arrival of Meltzer, Katz and Martin will strengthen Avison Young’s tenant advisory services in the greater Washington area, said John Peyton, Avison Young principal and managing director of the company’s Washington, DC region. “Their expertise will be a tremendous complement to our rapidly growing office tenant representation practice in the DC region,” he said in prepared remarks.
Meltzer has 34 years of commercial real estate experience in the DC region. His accolades include CoStar Power Broker awards for leasing transactions, Leasing Transaction of the Year from the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association (CREBA) of Greater DC, and Top Commercial Real Estate Broker in Washington DC and the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia Region.
Katz too is a 34-year CRE veteran. He is recognized as a skilled negotiator, assisting law firms, associations and corporations with local, national and international requirements.
Martin brings 30 years of experience to Avison Young. He is a recipient of the Leasing Transaction of the Year award from the CREBA of Greater DC and has also received awards for full-building-user transactions.
