SÃO PAULO – Digital Realty and Ascenty have announced the opening four new data centers in the São Paulo metropolitan area.

The fully-leased facilities are located in Jundiai, Hortolandia and Paulinia. Together, the centers supplement 24 megawatts of capacity and are all interconnected on Ascenty's fiber network. Digital Realty will offer strategies and support to the centers.

Ascenty expects to launch two additional sites, along with the four new data centers, in the third quarter of this year. Through its implemented growth strategy process, Ascenty will then own 17 data centers in Latin America.

Ascenty, a Digital Realty and Brookfield Infrastructure joint venture company, is a data center services provider in Latin America. The company's data centers are interconnected by its 4,500-kilometer fiber network.
