Locale Locale provides a home away from home for short-term travelers and extended stay guests.

SAN FRANCISCO—Austin-based aparthotel company, Locale, has launched its first property on the West Coast. Starting this month, Locale is offering its boutique hospitality concept at The Landing, a new 263-unit complex in Dogpatch, accommodating guests seeking stays of 30 nights or more.

Locale San Francisco at The Landing will manage 35 units ranging from one to three bedrooms. While combining the design of boutique hotels with the privacy of apartment-style living, Locale provides a home away from home for business/leisure travelers and extended stay guests.

GlobeSt.com learns the concept is an entirely new hybrid of the travel industry. Essentially, these new aparthotels take the best from hotels, i.e. elevated amenities, concierge/customer relations services, and combine these qualities with the best of apartment-style living, i.e. larger spaces, privacy and design, to create a new form of elevated travel.

Amenities include Latch keyless entry, a Google Home Mini in-room, a co-working lab and coding room, rooftop park and terrace, and a gaming and theater room. And, Locale has partnered with Four Hands furnishings, Manduka yoga mats and blocks, Fellow pour-over kettles, Parachute linens and towels, and Tuft & Needle's T&N Mattress.

“The trend of 'aparthotels' is an entirely new hybrid of travel that's gaining more and more traction with time. By combining the best qualities of boutique hotels, such as elevated amenities and concierge services, with the freedom and comfort of apartment-style living, this new concept is gaining momentum and is particularly popular among extended-stay travelers, or those simply looking for a more curated travel experience,” Nitesh Gandhi, founder/CEO, Locale, tells GlobeSt.com. “All locations are fully furnished by Locale designers with curated touchpoints integrated throughout the guest experience. Luxury is in the details, and when guests are seeking extended stay travel, they know that they can rely on Locale for an elevated, curated and stylish experience.”
