Clifford Brechner, vice president, Colliers International
PHILADELPHIA—Clifford Brechner, a business executive that for the past two decades has led life science companies, has joined Colliers International's Philadelphia Life Sciences division as a vice president.
Brechner joins Colliers with more than 35 years of experience leading companies with revenues in excess of $10 million. For the past 20 years he led ventures within the analytical laboratory and quality assurance industry.
It is with this background that Colliers believes makes him well suited to help laboratory clients navigate their complicated real estate requirements in an ever-changing market.

His insider's knowledge of the challenges specific to building and managing laboratories makes him an important contributor to our Life Sciences team and we are happy to have him join us.” says Colliers EVP Joseph Fetterman.
As founder and CEO of Insight Laboratories, a consumer products safety testing lab, Brechner built and managed facilities in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Canada and California, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. With rapid growth and ISO17025 and Consumer Product Safety Commission approval, Insight was acquired by a strategic partner.
He also served as co-founder and CEO of Actus Analytical, he also managed the development, marketing and sales of instruments for consumer safety compliance screening. Under his leadership, Actus Analytical was awarded a research grant from the US Department of Homeland Security and the CPSC, and partnered with Agilent Technologies to develop a portable analytical instrument for the screening of material ID.
