WASHINGTON, DC—The Ezra Co.has been sold to a major national brokerage firm.
Founded in 1980 by Fred Ezra, The Ezra Co. is one of the oldest commercial real estate advisory services firms dedicated solely to the representation of tenants.
Ezra, now 80 years old, is retiring and his son Mark, a principal at the company, is joining CoStar as a product director.
Last month, much of The Ezra Co.’s workforce departed for Avison Young. Glenn Meltzer, Robert Katz and Eugene Martin joined as principals and will continue to work together on office tenant, buyer representation and advisory services both in the Washington, DC area and across the US. At The Ezra Co., Meltzer was president, Katz was executive director and Martin executive vice president.
Also joining Avison Young from The Ezra Co. were VPs Colin Oppenheimer and Matthew Goldberg, IT project manager Sabin Bista, senior associate Brian Martin and Adina Nyce, marketing coordinator. They will be based in the Washington, DC area as well.
