Two Colliers South Florida Execs Join JLL as Managing Directors

MIAMI—Steven Hurwitz and Douglas Okun, both executive managing directors with Colliers, have joined JLL’s South Florida brokerage team as managing directors.

Hurwitz joins JLL from Colliers International, where he held the position of executive managing director and director of office services. He was responsible for both landlord and tenant representation for large institutional firms, private equity companies and local businesses. Hurwitz has represented clients such as Deutsche Bank, Zurich Insurance, KBS Realty Advisors, East End Properties and Ivy Realty.

Okun also held the position of executive managing director at Colliers. He was responsible for overseeing the leasing of a variety of office properties throughout South Florida for clients including RREEF, Zurich, Colony Realty Partners, Brookwood, ProMed/Gazit and Resorts World Miami and has extensive experience addressing clients’ needs across all sectors.

Hurwitz and Okun will join JLL’s existing brokerage team to support further growing the agency leasing business line in South Florida with a focus on expanding the firm’s presence in Miami Beach, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and Miami Airport West.

The two executives bring more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience to JLL. Together, Hurwitz and Okun have represented a portfolio of approximately 2.5 million square feet of office space throughout South Florida.
