1675 Broadway

NEW YORK – National law firm, Davis & Gilbert LLP has signed a lease for 86,000 square feet of space at 1675 Broadway in Midtown Manhattan.

The 15-year lease encompasses more than four floors of the 850,000-square-foot office tower, from the 31st floor to the 34th floor, as well as a portion of the 35th floor.

The law firm will relocate its office and its more than 130 lawyers from its current location at 1740 Broadway, to the newly leased space next summer.

The Class A building at the corner of Broadway and West 52nd Street is owned and operated by the Rudin Family. It features a 60-car garage and is located near the B, D, E, N, Q, R and W subway lines. Built in 1989 by Jack and Lewis Rudin and designed by Fox and Fowle Architects, the tower features a variety of floorplans, offering a mix of private offices, meeting spaces, conference rooms and up to ten corner offices per floor.

The property recently acquired new leases for law firms Ballard Spahr and Roberts & Holland, as well as financial services firm, Spielman Koenigsberg & Parker. Additional building tenants include global advertising and media company, Publicis Groupe and fintech firm, Bankrate Inc.

CBRE's Lewis Miller, Scott Gottlieb, Brian Gell and Michael Wellen represented Davis & Gilbert in the transaction. Rudin Management Company senior vice president, Robert Steinman represented the owners in the transaction.

The lease was negotiated in-house by Davis & Gilbert partners Robert A. Karin, Mark E. Maltz and Glenn E. Motelson. Pamela S. Leibow and Steven M. Fenton of Goldfarb & Fleece represented the Rudin Family in the lease negotiations.

The Rudin Family is one of New York City's largest, privately-held owner, operator and developer of real estate. The firm is managed by Rudin Management Company, a full-service real estate organization. The firm currently holds 17 commercial office buildings consisting of 10.9 million square feet, and 18 apartment buildings consisting of more than 4 million square feet of residences.
