Senior Lifestyle Corp. Breaks Ground on IL Senior Community
The Sheridan at Oak Brook is expected to be completed in early 2021 and will create more than 100 jobs for community.
OAK BROOK, IL – Senior Lifestyle Corporation and Kaufman Jacobs have broken ground on The Sheridan at Oak Brook.
The 215,000-square-foot senior living community, situated on 4.5 acres of land in Oak Brook, IL, will feature 127 independent living apartment homes, 59 assisted living apartment homes and 14 memory care residences. The memory care residences will specifically support individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other memory-impairing illnesses.
The five-story development will include amenities, such as open-floorplans, dining and living rooms, spacious apartments, a bar and bistro with a pizza oven, an on-site theatre, game rooms, walking paths and a memory garden. Designed to create an urban-living experience, the project will serve as Senior Living’s most modern development to-date.
As Senior Living and Kaufman Jacobs’ fourth joint-venture project together, the firms are aiming to reimagine senior living and meet residents’ needs by creating a modern lifestyle and atmosphere for the growing senior population in Oak Brook.
The Sheridan at Oak Brook will create more than 100 new jobs within the community, and it will be a part of will be a part of Senior Lifestyle’s Signature Collection.
Upon completion, targeted for early 2021, the development will be the city’s only dedicated independent living, assisted living and memory care community.
