Cushman & Wakefield Appoints New York Tri-State President

NEW YORK CITY- Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Toby Dodd as the next president to lead its business lines for the New York/Tri-State region. Dodd will assume the post-January 1, 2020, and is expected to use his experience to develop operational strategies.

Dodd will learn the ropes from current president John Santora over the next several months before he moves into a national role overseeing the firm’s business.

“Leadership succession planning — as it is with all great organizations — is a critical component of our operating model as a people and ideas company,” said Shawn Mobley, Cushman’s Americas CEO, in a prepared statement.

Dodd, an 18-year Cushman veteran, has worked across the company’s business lines, spending the past four years heading the Global Occupier Services business in New York, the Mid-Atlantic and New England.

He developed and implemented far-reaching strategies for over 100 of the firm’s largest accounts. Before that, he spent five years leading the firm’s 1,800-person business in Singapore. He began his career with the firm as a capital markets broker in London, and held leadership roles in Hong Kong, Beijing and Vietnam.

“As we continue to grow and evolve as a company, we are always looking at new and different ways for our best leaders to expand their influence with our people and our clients,” Mobley said.
