AUSTIN, TX—Red McCombs' vision for The Reserve at Lake Travis, 10 years in the making, was to develop an iconic waterfront community on Lake Travis. Located just west of Austin on 310 acres of rolling Texas Hill Country, The Reserve features amenities and miles of shoreline along the south side of Lake Travis.

Its homeowners can access a floating marina with concierge service, swim park with lazy river and swim-up bar, paved walking trail, outdoor pavilion, tennis court and fishing pond. The outdoor Cypress Lodge offers a gathering place for families and friends, movie nights and weekend dinner service. An activity center, The Barn, offers entertainment space for homeowners featuring an indoor lounge, seating, game tables and big-screen televisions, as well as a covered outdoor space with kitchen and barbecue area. The Reserve's pricing ranges from large-acreage homesites starting in the $200,000s to lakeside homes starting in the $700,000s.

McCombs Properties will soon debut another collection at The Reserve called the Sky Lofts. This development will provide a downtown penthouse feel while capturing the essence of lakeside living. Each condominium offers a lakefront view of Lake Travis, with plenty of entertainment and recreation only steps away, restaurant dining, a private workout room and ship store. Every residence will have an entire side facing the water and corner units will greatly expand the view of the water. These lofts have lock-and-leave convenience.

In addition, the Treehouses are the featured home collection at The Reserve at Lake Travis and include native live oaks, steps from The Reserve's newest park on the shore of Lake Travis. The homes are flanked on the waterside by a boardwalk that will run the length of the cove.

"This home is Lake Travis' best-kept secret,"  Nicole Pietramale, McCombs Properties director of marketing tells GlobeSt.com. "You've never seen a lake house like this before. This waterfront enclave of 23 homes has been fashioned with Hill Country contemporary and lakeside luxury in mind. The first level is considered the 'fun zone' with an outdoor kitchen and game room equipped with a garage-style door to let in the breeze off of Lake Travis. The second level is the 'R&R zone' featuring floating beams and a firepit on your covered balcony where you can take in the gorgeous views."

Only six homes remain available in The Reserve's Farmhouse Collection, with homes ranging from 1,531 to 2,575 square feet, located next to the Barn. The Farmhouses have up to three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a bonus room on the second level. There is plenty of room for outdoor entertaining with living areas at the front entry, backyard and covered balcony upstairs. The farmhouses are priced starting in the $900,000s.

Since The Reserve opened in 2008, 167 properties have been sold with 38 lakeside homes and 15 homesites still available. At full build-out, The Reserve will total 222 properties and more than $300 million in property values, GlobeSt.com learns.

Further south in Port Aransas, Palmilla Beach Resort and Golf Community is the first "true Texas beach resort, according to McCombs. The coastal resort and golf community is framed by the Gulf Coast and boasts the longest beachfront in Port A.

The resort includes dining, amenities, concierge-style services, pedestrian-friendly walkways, private access to the beach, plus pools, golf and beach service. The property's signature feature is its links-style golf course that meanders through the Mustang Island dunes. Palmilla Beach features the only golf holes directly on the Texas coast (holes 4, 5 and 6), offering a true links experience in the Scottish tradition.
