Rancho Sienna Rancho Sienna is a 500-acre master-planned community located in the North Austin city of Georgetown.

AUSTIN, TX—The city added 22,800 net new jobs with growth of 2.1% in the 12 months ending in June, making Austin the 15th fastest growing major metro among the 50 largest metro areas. Dallas and Houston, gaining 3.7% and 2.7% respectively, made the top 10, according to the Current Employment Statistics payroll jobs numbers by the Texas Workforce Commission and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In June, Austin unemployment was at 2.7%, while the other major metros ranged from 3.2% in San Antonio to 3.8% in Houston. Dallas and Fort Worth are at 3.3%, nearly the same rate Austin's was one year ago (3.2%).

Wholesale trade grew by 5.6% (2,800 jobs), making it Austin's fastest growing industry, while professional and business services added the most jobs, 7,600 (or 4.1%), during the last 12 months. Also growing at faster-than-average rates are construction and natural resources (5.4% or 3,500), information (4.8% or 1,600), financial activities (3.5% or 2,200), and transportation, warehousing and utilities (3.2% or 700).

As part of that construction push, along with resident influx due to new employment opportunities, a Texas-sized master-planned community is underway by Trendmaker Homes, a member of the TRI Pointe Group. Rancho Sienna is a 500-acre community located in the North Austin city of Georgetown.

Trendmaker's third residential phase at Rancho Sienna features its first 50-foot lot offerings totaling 30 single-family homes, along with 60-foot lots on Rancho Sienna Loop. Anticipated to appeal to families and empty nester/retiree homebuyers, the homes will offer eight open floor plans with three to five bedrooms and two to 3.5 baths. Ranging in size from 1,538 square feet to more than 2,800 square feet, the 50-foot lot residences will start from the high $290,000s.

"With Trendmaker's Rancho Sienna home offerings, you really see supply and demand coming together for some terrific Texas-sized opportunity," said Terry Shuffler, vice president and general manager at Trendmaker Homes Austin. "We're delivering a premium residential product at a value price point in what has recently been ranked as one of the fastest-growing metros in the country."

Situated on the eastern edge of the Texas Hill Country, Rancho Sienna is located within a 10-mile radius of Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander and Liberty Hill, and less than 30 minutes from downtown Austin. Interstate 35, Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Highway 183 all offer access to the major employment, shopping and cultural venues of the north metro area.

When completed, Rancho Sienna by Newland Communities will feature more than 1,400 homes by seven builders including 130 single-family homes in four phases. The development features the Sienna House community center with gathering spots, a gym and a swimming pool with splash pads, and includes parks, trails and open space. In addition, an onsite elementary school, part of the Liberty Hill ISD, opened in August 2017. Move-ins to Trendmaker's third residential phase at Rancho Sienna started in June 2019.

"Trendmaker has been building and selling homes in Rancho Sienna for over a year and are pleased to now offer new homes on 50- and 60-foot lots," Shuffler tells GlobeSt.com.  "With three sales in just over two weeks since our grand opening, these new homes have been in high demand and are being well-received."
