Mark Duclos Mark Duclos says SIORs can dive into solutions for issues that inhibit growth during the conference.

PORTLAND, OR—The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors will host its 2019 Fall World Conference from October 17 to 19 at the Hilton Portland. During the conference, nearly 1,000 commercial real estate professionals will meet to discuss the latest trends, opportunities and challenges facing the commercial real estate industry.

"No other CRE event offers this level of access to such a concentrated group of industry experts, eager to answer the biggest questions about what's impacting the CRE community today and what could impact the industry tomorrow," Mark Duclos, SIOR incoming global president and president/co-founder of Sentry Commercial Real Estate in Hartford, CT, tells GlobeSt.com. "The Fall World Conference provides access to the most knowledgeable group of CRE practitioners. SIORs from all over the world gather at these conferences to share thought leadership, strategies and best practices, and to grow their network. It's an opportunity to connect with other SIORS, and open the door for future deals and transactions in other areas. Because many trends in CRE start with large markets and trickle down to mid- and small-market cities, it also presents the opportunity to learn about what trends are on the horizon. And of course by working with one another, SIORs can discuss challenges, frustrations and opportunities to find solutions to problems that inhibit growth."
