B6 Real Estate Advisors Beefs Up Recruitment for Capital Advisory
B6 Real Estate has agents in 21 territories throughout the New York tristate area and half are unfulfilled with capital advisory agents.
NEW YORK CITY – Paul Massey’s B6 Real Estate Advisors, a New York City-based investment sales and capital advisory firm, has spearheaded a hiring effort to expand its new capital advisory platform, which combines proprietary technology and a territory system, said Joseph Tufariello, president of capital advisory at the firm.
B6 has agents in 21 territories throughout the New York tristate area and half are unfulfilled with capital advisory agents. The firm has room to add 15 to 20 real estate professionals in New York and 5 to 10 in New Jersey.
Investment sales teams up with capital advisory agents in pairs, or more, to cover an established territory model focused on the New York metro area and New Jersey. They leverage B6’s proprietary tech data platform, which features a nimble and adaptable base layer to maintain up-to-date, to service the full ecosystem of investment and capital advisory.
Data on the B6 platform is similar to but more granular than other widely known platforms on the market such as Real Capital Analytics and Property Shark. It includes information about which lenders are most active in the market, deals, contract terms, cap rates, and other nuances about specific territories.
“What we’re trying to do is bring a lender’s perspective to the brokerage business,” Tufariello said. “We want our data to open up transparency for lenders to get active in those territories, and get the best terms for clients,” he said.
B6′s territory system focuses on certain swaths of the market, but not exclusively. Through the cultivation of deep relationships in targeted submarkets, the firm has expanded to other areas in the city and allow brokers to service other deals outside their purview. The strategy has led to the growth of its platform, according to Tufariello. “We’re better market experts because of our approach, and can work on a broader investment base, too,” he said.
