NEW YORK CITY— Midtown South-based production company Left/Right renewed its 34,000-square-foot lease at 39 West 19th St. for an additional 10 years and will continue to occupy the 7th, 9th and 10th floors of the 131,054-square-foot office property through 2030. Savills arranged the lease transaction
Left/Right has been a tenant in the 12-story building for the past 10 years, and in the new agreement will have the option to pursue capital improvements to the 1911-built property owned by The Rosen Group, a private investment management firm. The asset is located between Avenue of the Americas and Fifth Avenue, adjacent to the Chelsea submarket.
The 2006-founded company Left/Right is fast growing and has worked on prominent projects that include "Odd Mom Out" at Bravo, "The Circus" at Showtime, and the Hulu series "The Weekly" in collaboration with The New York Times.
"Given the tight vacancy rate in Midtown South, it can be a challenge to secure favorable lease terms in a highly sought after neighborhoods like Chelsea," said Savills Vice Chairman Erik Schmall , in a prepared statement. "We were able to negotiate flexible options for Left/Right, which made staying in place the optimal choice for the company."
