NEW YORK CITY – Fisher Brothers, a New York City-based real estate developer and owner, has secured a lease with Blue Bottle Coffee, a popular café chain, in its Midtown tower at 1345 Avenue of the Americas.  It will be the third food and beverage brand to lease-up space in its ground-floor retail.

Blue Bottle will occupy 953 square feet of retail space at the base of the tower beginning in the fourth quarter of 2019 under a 15-year lease and will join Quality Bistro, a French brasserie-style steakhouse from restaurant group Quality Branded, and the Asian-inspired eatery Wagamama.

"At 1345 Avenue of the Americas, we are focusing a lot of energy on improving our tenants' experience," said Fisher Brothers Partner Ken Fisher in a prepared statement. "We are filling our storefronts with popular food and beverage options, such as Blue Bottle, that will serve as attractive new amenities for our tenants and their guests."

The new lease with Blue Bottle signals a transformation at 1345 Avenue of the Americas, which has undergone renovations to its lobby, entrances and is currently upgrading its outdoor plazas, inspired by nearby Central Park.

The outdoor plaza wraps around the whole building and will feature a new entryway, granite sidewalks, and flanked with new fountains, seating and lush landscaping. To complete the project, the Fisher Brothers are working with architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

Fisher Brothers have also upgraded the building's elevator system to modern standards and planned an amenity center with a fitness facility, and a conference and event center, which is currently under construction.
