WASHINGTON DC – Cushman & Wakefield has appointed John Owendoff to managing director of its Washington DC metro region capital markets team.
In the role, Owendoff will be responsible for generating and leading the firm's regional retail investment sales practice. The firm aims to leverage Owendoff's industry relationships to enhance its capital markets team.
Previously, Owendoff served as managing director at HFF, where he gained experience by facilitating retail and mixed-use investment sales and capitalizations of more than $3 billion. Prior to his time at HFF, he worked as senior director at Cushman & Wakefield for seven years.
Owendoff received his master's degree in business administration from Duke University and his bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia. He is additionally a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Cushman & Wakefield is a global commercial real estate services firm, with 51,000 employees operating from 400 offices across 70 countries. The firm generated $8.2 billion in revenue in 2018.
