NEW YORK CITY – Newmark Group, Inc., a global real estate services firm, has acquired retail real estate advisory firm Harper Dennis Hobbs Holdings Limited based in London. The transaction price was not disclosed.
The acquisition will bulk-up Newmark's presence in London, which already has offices in New York and Los Angeles. In 2019, the firm leased over 1.1 million square feet of retail space in Manhattan.
"Acquiring Harper Dennis Hobbs is an essential strategic investment for Newmark as we begin to scale our domestic retail practice to offer a world-wide level of enterprise resources," said Barry Gosin, Newmark's CEO, in a prepared statement. Founded in 1993, HDH has become positioned as an expert advisor on tenant-focused real estate advisory services for blue-chip clients that include Belstaff, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, J. Crew, Louis Vuitton, Samsung, Skechers, Tiffany & Co. and West Elm.
