SRS Real Estate Partners has been expanding in California over the last several years, and it is positioning for more growth in 2020. The firm has added Scott Landgraf as principal and Amber Edwards s first VP to the Southern California team. The two will focus on retail tenant representation, helping to fuel more growth next year.

"Our clients come first, and we're fortunate to work with some of the top tenants, landlords, and developers in the region," Garrett Colburn, EVP and managing principal of SRS' California offices, tells GlobeSt.com. "The SRS brand has never been stronger in Southern California and across the country.  We have carefully curated teams with some of the best in the business, while keeping our culture a top priority.  Our unique platform with a broad range of powerhouse teams is fueling our growth, and I feel like we're just getting started."

Next year, SRS expects to continue to expand in the region, although the year will have some challenges. "2020 will be an interesting year with the election driving the narrative, but our business has become so diversified that we will continue to fire on all cylinders during any uncertain times," says Colburn.

This year, the firm launched its SRS Signature Group to target specific retail growth areas. "In 2019, we opened our office in Santa Monica and launched SRS Signature Group with industry veteran Mike Rielly, catering to aspirational and high-end brands targeting coast-to-coast growth in high street, class-A mall, lifestyle, premium outlet, and design/arts district environments," says Colburn. "Adding John Few, one of the top restaurant brokers in business, to our Signature group was a major win this year that's a springboard for more growth in 2020."

This year, the firm plans to recruit talent in Southern California, with a focus on project leasing. "We will continue to add top talent to our SoCal project leasing team that now controls over 10 million square feet of retail, and to our tenant rep team that represents more than 20 active tenants in the market," says Colburn. "Another big win for us this year was bringing Scott Landgraf back to SRS to further bolster our tenant rep team in the region.  Our net lease group (NNLG) led by Matt Mousavi and Patrick Luther is also a massive catalyst for our growth that has redefined our national coverage and market share."
