730 Third Ave.

NEW YORK CITY- National accounting firm Marcum, LLP, has secured a 70,728-square-foot office lease at 730 Third Ave., moving from its current office at 750 Third Ave., adding 10,000 square feet as the firm continues to grow its operations.  

Marcum aims to move into the 27-story, 665,110-square-foot office tower by 2021. The property is two blocks from Grand Central Terminal and will offer the firm access to a wraparound terrace. The accounting firm has offices in more than 30 cities across the U.S. Newmark Knight Frank's Executive Managing Director Ross Perlman and Senior Managing Director Lee Brodsky represented the tenant in the lease transaction.

"Marcum is a dynamic, growing firm that was looking to upgrade the quality of its workplace with their expansion while staying within its current submarket," said Perlman in a prepared statement. "Having partnered with Marcum through the years, we understood the importance of identifying a location that would support the firm's business needs, most importantly its future growth and recruitment goals."

Neil King and Paul Amrich of CBRE represented ownership, who is currently executing capital improvements to the property that include two new lobbies, double-height storefronts and a 35,000-square-foot amenity center with a tenant-exclusive food hall, fitness center, and a conference center. The building will also have a 7,000 square-foot roof terrace on the 22nd floor available to all tenant use.
