RFR Realty to Lease Up Base of Seagram Building

RFR Realty has retained Jones Lang LaSalle to lead leasing efforts for the 272,628 square feet of space at the base of the Seagram Building at 375 Park Ave. in Midtown Manhattan.

NEW YORK CITY- RFR Realty has retained Jones Lang LaSalle to lead leasing efforts for the  272,628 square feet of space at the base of the Seagram Building at 375 Park Ave. in Midtown Manhattan. The firm will launch marketing and leasing efforts for the slice in the 860,000-square-foot landmark office building.

“For the first time in over 15 years, there will be a new anchor tenant opportunity at the Seagram Building,” said Paul Glickman, vice chairman at JLL, in a prepared statement. “The building is widely known for its premier Park Avenue location, architecture, history, and iconic cache. Together with RFR’s vision and expertise, our plan is to leverage the classic features, robust infrastructure, outdoor roof terraces, best plaza and Park Avenue location, large efficient floor plates and significant branding opportunities with various new and industry-leading amenities in order to appeal to the needs of today’s large headquarters occupiers.”

The 38-story property was designed by prominent architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The landmark building was built as the headquarters for Canadian distillers Joseph E. Seagram & Sons.

Located on Park Avenue between 52nd and 53rd Streets, 375 Park Avenue is regarded as one of the city’s most prominent office properties, featuring an executive lounge and terrace and art exhibitions on the Seagram Plaza and in the lobby. The building houses a parking garage on the concourse level and is also home to the highly acclaimed restaurants, The Grill and The Lobster Club.
