NEW YORK CITY- Flexible workplace provider Convene has partnered with work experience platform provider Lane to launch a strategic partnership. Convene will become an investor in Lane to further the Toronto-based company's interests in the U.S., and Lane will promote Convene as its partner of choice for amenity-rich and flexible workplaces.

"This partnership solidifies Lane as the go-to solution for prominent property owners looking to boost tenant engagement and experience," said Clinton Robinson, CEO of Lane, in a prepared statement. "With Convene's network of modern offices, meeting spaces, and turn-key event venues, together we're bringing the best in hospitality, design, and technology to improve how workplaces work for landlords, office tenants, and their employees alike."

Lane came to market in 2015, debuting a software platform and mobile application to streamline traditional building management and provide centralized access to software, services and amenities. Property managers have access to create and distribute building content and communicate with tenants and retailers, while tenants can use the technology for their needs, such as booking a fitness class or finding parking.

Lane's clients include Brookfield Properties, Dream, Colliers International and WashREIT. Lane currently powers more than 120 million square feet of commercial office space across the United States and Canada, with more than 300 million square feet under contract globally.

"Lane's robust technology platform, role-based permission functionality, and intuitive app design absolutely wowed us. After digging into the competitive landscape to search for the right partner, we felt that Lane's scale, thoughtfulness, underlying technology, and partnership-first mindset was best-in-class. We are excited to see what this collaboration brings to the future of the tenant experience," said Ryan Simonetti, CEO of Convene, in a prepared statement.

Founded in 2009, Convene designs and services flexible places to work, meet, and host events. The company has expanded to over 30 locations in six markets totaling over 1.5 million square feet of space, with its first international location – in London – coming in 2020. Convene's network of locations is powered primarily by strategic partnerships with prominent commercial landlords. Convene has raised $260 million in equity funding to date to fuel its expansion.
