50-05 Metropolitan Avenue.

NEW YORK CITY- Metropolitan Realty, a real estate company, has tapped Cushman & Wakefield to lead leasing efforts for 50-05 Metropolitan Ave., a mixed-use retail and office development in Ridgewood, Queens, bordering Brooklyn.

The property was the former home to historic grocery store chain Bohack's and has since undergone redevelopment and now has Class A space of 30,000 square feet in ground floor retail and 28,000 square feet of office space.

The Cushman & Wakefield leasing team consists of Stephen Preuss, Joshua Kleinberg, Adam Malitz, Rani Bendary and Dale Braverman on behalf of landlord Metropolitan Realty.

"50-05 Metropolitan Avenue offers state-of-the-art office and retail space, as well as on-site parking, which can often prove difficult to find simultaneously," said Preuss in a prepared statement.

50-05 Metropolitan Avenue has a M3-1 zoning and 250' of wraparound frontage. The property features private outdoor space, a common lounge area and rooftop access, 24/7 building access and architectural details including exposed brick walls and original wood beams. Additionally, the property has 50 parking spaces and a private loading dock that can be made available. In 2019, the property won the commercial interior design award from the Queens Chamber of Commerce.

"Located at the crossroads of the city's fastest-growing boroughs and the former headquarters site of a historic New York business, Bohack Square is well-positioned to continue to attract commerce following a recent best-in-class redevelopment," added Kleinberg.

The property at 50-05 Metropolitan Avenue is located within proximity to the L subway line, connecting to various Brooklyn and Manhattan neighborhoods along with multiple bus routes, and access to I-495, I-278 and the Grand Central Parkway.
