Round Hill Capital’s Bashir to Head Harrison Street’s European Business
At Harrison Street, Bashir will lead the expansion of the firm’s strategies which focus on investments in student housing, build-to-rent and healthcare real estate.
CHICAGO—Paul Bashir, the president and CEO of Round Hill Capital, has been named CEO of locally-based investment management firm Harrison Street’s European business.
Bashir will join Harrison Street and will be based at the investment management firm’s London office, beginning on June 1. Bashir currently serves as president and chief operating officer at Round Hill Capital, a New York City-based global real estate investment and asset management firm.
At Harrison Street, Bashir will lead the expansion of the firm’s strategies which focus on investments in student housing, build-to-rent and healthcare real estate. He will also be responsible for overseeing and growing the firm’s team of professionals across the United Kingdom and Europe. He will report to Robert Mathias, partner and head of Harrison Street’s International Business.
Bashir brings more than 20 years of experience in private equity real estate, operations and corporate finance to Harrison Street. While at Round Hill, he managed a business with a more than $8-billion portfolio and a team of 260 people across 15 offices in 14 countries. He has overseen investment and development projects, regulatory approvals, complex refinancings and capital raises in multiple European locations across a host of real estate asset sectors including retail, commercial, residential and student housing.

Prior to joining Round Hill, Bashir served as a partner at Aggmore Group, where he was responsible for raising and deploying over €500 million of new capital and developed JV partnerships with European operators in the residential and commercial real estate space. Earlier he served as chief operating officer at North Bridge Capital Partners Ltd. He began his career at KPMG LLP. as a senior manager in the transaction services department.
