Larken Associates Adds to its Pennsylvania Multifamily Portfolio

YORK, PA—Larken Associates of Branchburg, NJ has acquired its second multifamily property in York County so far this year—the 224-unit The View at Mackenzi development—here.
Earlier last year, the firm acquired The Reserve at Copper Chase, a 132-unit apartment and townhome community at 3145 Honey Run Drive less than 10 miles from the View at Mackenzi.
With the growth of its York portfolio, Larken Associates continues to grow its Larken Living portfolio comprised of approximately 2,000 owned and/or managed residential units across 22 unique communities.
No financial terms of the transaction were disclosed.
The View at Mackenzi, located at 2035 Patriot St., features two-bedroom, garden-style apartments. Every unit features an in-home washer and dryer, oak cabinetry, central air conditioning and a built-in microwave. Select units also feature eat-in kitchens with breakfast bars, hardwood flooring, patios and balconies and stainless-steel appliances. Additionally, the community features such amenities as a fitness center, walking and biking trails and a package concierge. The pet-friendly community also boasts an on-site bark park for residents’ dogs.
Larken Associates notes that York County is made up of a diverse mix of lively downtowns and sprawling farmland spread across the Susquehanna River Valley and is home to a variety of well-known national brands such as Utz Quality Foods, Harley-Davidson, Starbucks, Snyder’s Lance, Voith Hydro, BAE Systems and Johnson Controls,
