A supplemental health care benefits company is moving into a new Plantation headquarters, consolidating its operations in one place.

NationsBenefits LLC is taking more than a third of a two-story building northwest of Florida’s Turnpike and Sunrise Boulevard at 1801 NW 66th Ave. The company signed a 39,000-square-foot lease but the term and value weren’t released.

The company founded in 2015 provides managed care organizations with customized health care management solutions. It was started as NationsHearing, a hearing aid and services business that’s still part of NationsBenefits. The company also includes NationsOTC, a platform that provides mail and retail access to medication.

The company’s current address is at Crossroads Business Park IV northwest of Interstate 595 and University Drive at 8050 SW 10th St. in Plantation.

Its new 1801 building totals 101,507 square feet constructed in 1983 with 444 parking spaces. It’s owned by Delta Investors Group LLC, an affiliate of real estate investor Zaragon Inc. based in Chicago.

NationsBenefits has 225 employees and anticipates business and staff growth.

“The new building will give us space to continue expanding and help us recruit top talent in a competitive market,” Michael Abes, chief financial officer, said in a news release.

The consolidation also will allow for more collaboration and increased productivity, added founder and CEO Glenn Parker.

“Our move is another way of showing we’re investing in people, technology and processes while continuing to meet the highest level of standards in service delivery,” Parker said in a statement.

JLL South Florida executive vice president Ryan Nunes in Fort Lauderdale closed the lease deal on behalf of NationsBenefits.
