NEW YORK CITY—ShopOne Centers REIT Inc., a leading owner, operator, and manager of high-quality grocery-anchored shopping centers, has promoted Bob Dake to COO. The company has also promoted Tom Shine to SVP of property management.

Dake previously served as ShopOne's EVP of leasing, while Shine was the company's VP of property management.

Both Dake and Shine "have played critical roles in advancing the growth of our business and strengthening our relationships with flagship national and local retailers," said John Roche, CEO and CFO of ShopOne.

"As the retail sector continues to undergo a reinvention, their extensive experience and deep industry connections will be assets in helping our shopping centers remain the preferred destinations for both legacy brands and emerging retailers."

Dake has been with ShopOne since 2018. In his previous role at the company, he was responsible for leading leasing and merchandising strategies. Prior to joining ShopOne, he served as VP of National Accounts at Brixmor, where he managed relationships and leasing activities with major retailers across the firm's national portfolio.

Dake, who is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and serves on the organization's New York Next Generation and NEXUS Planning Committees, holds a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University and a Certificate in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.

"It's an honor to work alongside a team of highly motivated and talented retail professionals here at ShopOne, and I am excited to expand my responsibilities at the Company," says Dake in a prepared statement. "I am proud of the partnerships we have been able to strengthen with our tenants and build with other emerging retailers in the past two years. I look forward to utilizing those skills to continue to support our retail partners and drive growth across many other aspects of our business."

Shine, who possesses more than 32 years' experience in commercial real estate, joined ShopOne at its founding in 2017, after serving as director of property management at Devonshire REIT since 2014. He began his career as the operations manager for a single mall, and has held operations positions at every level including Regional Director for Kimco Realty. Over the course of his career, Shine has managed properties throughout the United States including both coasts and the Midwest encompassing over 19 million square feet.

In addition to the promotions of Dake and Shine, ShopOne also promoted three additional team members to further strengthen its construction, finance and property management teams. Jack Ventimiglia, who joined ShopOne in 2017, was named Vice President, Construction; Michael Price, who has been with the company since 2018, is now VP of finance; and, Mary Garcia, who came to ShopOne in 2019, was appointed assistant property manager.
