WASHINGTON DC – Grosvenor Americas has acquired two office buildings in the Georgetown submarket of Washington DC.

The two assets comprise a four story, 112,000-square-foot property at 2001 Wisconsin Avenue, known as the Georgetown-Green building, and a five-story, 129,000-square-foot property at 3330 Whitehaven Street, known as the Harris building.

The properties, which are situated at the confluence of north Georgetown and Glover Park, each operate as educational institutions.

The British International School of Washington occupies 2001 Wisconsin Avenue, which was constructed in 1967 and renovated in 1987 and in 2007. The building at 3300 Whitehaven Street, which was built in 1975 and renovated in 1987 and again in 2005, is occupied by Georgetown University.

Aiming to lessen utility expenses and minimize the properties' carbon footprint, while corresponding with its net-zero commitment, Grosvenor Americas plans to implement smart technology at the assets.

The privately-owned international property group has invested in, developed and managed buildings within the DC metropolitan region for more than 25 years. The company currently owns and operates various office, retail and residential properties throughout the region, including 1701 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW and 1500 K Street, NW.

Grosvenor Americas currently manages more than $4 billion of investment property and has 4.9 million square feet of new development in its North American pipeline.
