ALEXANDRIA, VA – Carr Cos. has broken ground on the Muse condominium development in Alexandria, VA. The developer plans to deliver the project's 73 residences in late 2021.
Located at 1201 N. Royal St. in the city's Old Town North neighborhood, Muse will consist of two buildings, connected by an enclosed bridge.
Carr Cos. aims for the development to serve as a key component within the neighborhood's arts corridor. SK&I Architecture has designed Muse to encourage engagement from both artists and residents. The development will incorporate an "arts walk" of landscaped open space featuring seating, lighting and display space.
The development's main tower will feature condominium and residential amenities, including a penthouse lounge with an outdoor terrace, a top-floor indoor-outdoor fitness center, a 24-hour reception, a lobby lounge and a library.
Muse's condominiums will start at $800,000 and will range in size from 920 square feet to 2,800 square feet. Many of the residences will features dens, outdoor balconies and terraces.
The development's smaller building will feature three, two-story loft residences. The Art League will additionally occupy space within the first floor of the building.
Located five miles from downtown Washington DC and less than one mile from Amazon's new HQ2, the development site overlooks the Potomac River and is situated near Alexandria's planned linear park, which offers direct access to the 18-mile, Mount Vernon trail.
The Muse sales gallery is scheduled to open in September 2020 at 1199 N. Fairfax St., directly across from the development. The space will feature model home details, a building scale model and interactive digital displays.
The development's sales are being exclusively directed by the Mayhood Co. ADG has been secured at the development's interior designer.
