Tri Pointe Homes Consolidates Regional Brands As Part of Growth Strategy
The homebuilder has unified six regional brands under a single unified entity, Tri Pointe Homes.
Tri Pointe Homes announced that it consolidated six regional brands under a single unified entity in January. The move was part of the homebuilder’s growth strategy and will enhance efficiency. Formerly known as TRI Pointe Group, the new brand will operate under Tri Pointe Homes.
“A unified brand with its inherent efficiencies will be one of the keys to the success of our growth strategy, which includes continuing our organic growth efforts and optimizing our operations across the country,” Tri Pointe Homes CEO Doug Bauer tells GlobeSt.com in an exclusive interview. Concentrating functional efforts around one brand instead of six will help improve our financial results and allow us to increase our investment in powerful technology platforms that are critical for future success. The change will also create stronger national awareness for the company.”
In 2014, Tri Point completed a merger with WRECO, which included the acquisition of its five regional brands. “Since the merger with WRECO, we have established an overarching vision and culture across the company while fostering the long-standing, trusted relationships our local leadership teams have forged over the years with land sellers and trade partners,” says Bauer. “With local expertise and relationships backed by company-wide financial resources and powerful technology platforms, our foundation became ‘the best of big and small.’ That will continue to define us as we grow with greater brand synergy and operational optimization.
This year, the firm will focus on building this unified brand and expanding into its next growth phase. “We are excited to move forward under the unified Tri Pointe Homes brand nationwide and to undertake the next phase of Tri Pointe Homes’ evolution,” says Bauer.
In addition, the firm has promoted Mark Sherman to national vice president of land development and construction. The position was created specifically to guide the next growth phase. “We are very excited about the recent promotion of, a newly created position, which will further optimize operations and support company-wide growth,” says Bauer. “It will be great to see his talents and more than 30 years of proven homebuilding operations experience applied to Tri Pointe Homes’ land development schedule execution, construction cycle times, overall margin enhancement and more.”
Overall, the firm will continue to develop homes across the country. “Mark and the rest of the Tri Pointe team are committed to the common goal of delivering unique and innovative homes to today’s homebuyers while also improving results for our shareholders,” says Bauer.
