BETHESDA, MD – Walker & Dunlop has hired former commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration, Dana Wade, to serve as chief production officer for the firm's FHA-backed loan originations with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

In her new position at Walker & Dunlop, Wade will also assist in driving the company's affordable housing financing activities.

In her previous role at the FHA, Wade was responsible for carrying out the agency's mission to provide affordable housing for moderate and low-income households. As commissioner, she additionally implemented enhanced risk management for FHA's $1.4 trillion portfolio and led more than 2,400 employees.
