CBRE Hires Hospitality Veteran to Lead Hotels Research

With nearly two decades of experience as an equity analyst, Rachael Rothman joins the firm as head of hotels research and data analytics.

RICHMOND, VA – CBRE has hired hotel industry veteran, Rachael Rothman as head of hotels research and data analytics.

Within her new role, Rothman leads CBRE’s hotel research, data collection and forecasting of industry metrics and trends. Based in Richmond, VA, Rothman additionally advises CBRE hospitality professionals and clients at the point of sale.

Rothman holds extensive experience as an equity analyst, focused on the hospitality industry.

Prior to joining CBRE, Rothman served as an executive and consultant within the industry for nearly three years. She worked as chief financial officer at Apple Hospitality REIT, and as head of corporate strategy and investor relations at Playa Hotels & Resorts. She additionally previously worked for 18 years as an equity analyst within the hospitality industry for Susquehanna International Group, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.

Rothman currently serves on the board for the Northeast chapter of the International Luxury Hotel Association. She is a member of the Cornell Hotel Society and of the New York Society of Securities Analysts. She holds the Certified Financial Analyst designation.
