True humanitarians strive to make a difference in the world. Passionate about specific causes, these individuals take action to promote and further initiatives through personal efforts and contributions. They take steps beyond their professional responsibilities and beyond running a race or writing a check, to benefit one's community, aid an organization or impact the greater good through material assistance and/or physical service.
Improving the welfare of humankind, humanitarians offer charitable work, philanthropy, education and service, and do so without the expectation of compensation or accolade. These individuals gain satisfaction by helping others. As advocates, they are motivated by goodwill and other people's success and they are dedicated to making the world a better place.
Throughout this past year in particular, many professionals felt called upon to serve as humanitarians as the impacts of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic spread across the globe, with no exception for the commercial real estate industry.
