Honoring Humanitarians in CRE

GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum is aiming to recognize humanitarians within the industry by offering a specific nomination category within our Women of Influence awards. The submission deadline is fast approaching on April 14!

True humanitarians strive to make a difference in the world. Passionate about specific causes, these individuals take action to promote and further initiatives through personal efforts and contributions. They take steps beyond their professional responsibilities and beyond running a race or writing a check, to benefit one’s community, aid an organization or impact the greater good through material assistance and/or physical service.

Improving the welfare of humankind, humanitarians offer charitable work, philanthropy, education and service, and do so without the expectation of compensation or accolade. These individuals gain satisfaction by helping others. As advocates, they are motivated by goodwill and other people’s success and they are dedicated to making the world a better place.

Throughout this past year in particular, many professionals felt called upon to serve as humanitarians as the impacts of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic spread across the globe, with no exception for the commercial real estate industry.

In effort to combat the negative effects brought on by the pandemic, certain humanitarians have taken on new causes and certain industry professionals have shifted gears to assist struggling owners, landlords, retailers, tenants and more. These professionals have significantly dedicated their time to helping others, in addition to serving in their roles as successful CRE experts.

With equal passions for the commercial real estate industry and for improving the lives of others, these individuals prove their commitment by dedicating spare time, offering pro bono work, developing initiatives, leading non-profit organizations or personally fundraising for causes. As an inspiration to others, these individuals set out to personally accomplish goals through positive contributions and participation in social, ethical or community service programs.

With this in mind, GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum is aiming to recognize the humanitarians whose transformative work has aided the lives of others, either before and/or during the pandemic.

In effort to honor these individuals, GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum is offering a Special Recognition Humanitarian nomination category for the 2021 Women of Influence Awards. This nomination category is designated for women who are committed to social causes or individuals within their community or in the CRE industry. Highlighting the immense efforts that industry professionals put forth toward furthering social causes, GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum will present the Humanitarian recognition to select, influential professionals.

For the Women of Influence awards, we are currently accepting nominations across various categories, spanning the entire commercial real estate spectrum.

We plan to honor the chosen 2021 Women of Influence at our third annual GlobeSt. Women of Influence Awards Dinner, which will be held in Park City, Utah on July 22, 2021 – assuming health and safety guidelines allow. In addition, the Women of Influence will be profiled in GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum’s July/August issue, as well as on GlobeSt.com.

The deadline for nominations is April 14, 2021. To apply, click here.
