L.A.’s US Bank Tower Gets $60M Upgrade

Silverstein Properties is upgrading the building to make it more appealing to tenants in this new environment.

Silverstein Properties is investing $60 million to upgrade and reposition the US  Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles.

The company plans to redesign the building’s main entrance and lobby, add a new vista for tenants on the 54th floor that provides panoramic views of the city, as well as a full elevator modernization program.

It is also offering new amenities to tenants including a day-to-night juice and cocktail bar, a grab and go market, seating and collaboration areas. Building upgrades are set to begin in Summer 2021 and be completed by the end of 2022.

“I love Los Angeles,” said Lisa H. Silverstein, vice chairman of Silverstein Properties in prepared remarks. “This city is a global destination that continues to attract some of the country’s leading businesses. I also believe in the future of Downtown LA as a major creative and business hub. I have no doubt that once the pandemic is behind us, we will see the return of dynamic job growth, millennial and Gen Z population growth and residential migration into Downtown.”

International design firm Jeffrey Beers and architecture firm A + I are  leading the capital improvements.

The company is also rolling out its customer experience mobile app, INSPIRE, to tenants. Like the rest of Silverstein’s office buildings across the US, it offers wellness and social programming, food services, and concierge services.

“Once completed, US Bank Tower will sport a look and feel more in line with the world’s leading boutique hotels,” said Jeremy Moss, EVP of leasing at Silverstein Properties, in prepared remarks.
