LOS ANGELES, CA – Affordable luxury hotel brand, citizenM will open its first California hotel in downtown Los Angeles this month.

citizenM Los Angeles Downtown was developed in collaboration with the lifestyle hotel developer, BLVD Hospitality, and designed in collaboration with architecture firm, concrete Amsterdam and construction firm, Mortenson.

The 11-story hotel will feature 315 rooms, a gym, five societyM meeting spaces, collectionM retail space with travel essentials and canteenM, which serves primarily locally-sourced food 24/7. The hotel rooms each display the same design with an XL king-size bed and MoodPad tablet controls for temperature, blinds, lighting and entertainment. The rates at citizenM Los Angeles Downtown start at $109 per night.

The company's second California location, citizenM San Francisco Union Square, is slated to open in October of this year. The lifestyle company has additional properties planned for late-2021 and early-2022, including citizenM Miami World Center, citizenM Miami Brickell and citizenM Washington DC NOMA.

Upon the upcoming openings, the company will have a total of 10 US locations and 27 worldwide locations. The brand currently has existing properties in Boston, New York, Seattle and Washington DC within the US.

In addition to the brand's notable modular construction, citizenM offers a contactless experience. The brand offers guests self-service kiosks and a mobile app for checking-in. The citizenM app additionally offers guests the ability to use contactless room entry, room controls, book wake-up calls, request services, report issues and place food orders.
