HOUSTON, TX – New Orleans-based, energy law firm Liskow & Lewis has signed a lease extension for its 30,000-square-foot office space in the class A office tower, 1001 Fannin, in downtown Houston, TX.

Within the space, Liskow & Lewis plan to implement technology-focused renovations and conference facility upgrades.

Built in 1981 by Chicago-based JMB Properties Co., 1001 Fannin encompasses 49 stories and 1.3 million square feet of office space. The property, which spans an entire block, is LEED Gold certified and has also received the BOMA 360 certification.

In 2020, building owner JMB Properties Co. completed a multi-million dollar renovation project, which included enhancements to the main lobby, such as new escalators and lighting, a new coffee bar, an 8,000-square-foot fitness center and a fully-renovated exclusive tenant outdoor patio.

Founded in 1935, Liskow & Lewis focuses on serving clients in the energy, oil and gas industry. The company has grown to more than 140 lawyers across four offices in Texas and Louisiana.

CBRE's Kevin Kushner and William Padon represented the tenant in the transaction. Cushman & Wakefield's Chip Colvill, Brad Beasley and Cameron Colvill represented the landlord, JMB Realty in the transaction.
