GBT Realty to Develop Nashville Mixed-Use Tower

The firm has received approval to move forward with its 27-story development, The Sinclair, located at the well-known intersection of West End and Elliston.

NASHVILLE, TN – National commercial development and investment company, GBT Realty Corp.’s latest mixed-use development in Nashville, TN is now fully-entitled to advance after its preliminary specific plan was approved by Nashville’s metro council.

Located 2416 West End at the intersection between West End and Elliston, the development, titled The Sinclair, will feature up to 375 residential units, ground floor retail and restaurant space, and below-grade parking.

Construction on the 27-story tower is expected to commence in early 2023.

As part of its preliminary specific plan, GBT Realty will fund $1.25 million in off-site public improvements, in order to improve pedestrian accessibility, safety and access in the immediate area, which includes Centennial Park and Vanderbilt University. The public improvements will commence following extensive communication with neighboring stakeholders.

“Our close coordination and collaboration with neighboring stakeholders and city officials really took this iconic development to the next level,” says Fiona Haulter, SVP of development at GBT Realty. “The Sinclair will greatly enhance and connect with the community where it is located. We’re excited to have full entitlements to advance our work and ultimately prepare for construction.”

Gresham Smith & Partners is serving as the lead architect and designer of The Sinclair.

“The Sinclair’s design utilizes strong lines, texture and dynamic form to create slender verticality and movement within the sky, ensuring a design that is an exciting, original and a memorable addition to Nashville,” states Brian Hubbard, senior architect at Gresham Smith.
