Cross-border investment in US commercial real estate returned to pre-pandemic levels in 2021, according to new reports from the National Association of Realtors.
A strong recovery in 2021 in the US commercial real estate market overall attracted foreign investors who purchased an estimated $57.7 billion in U.S. commercial real estate in 2021, up 49% from 2020, according to NAR's 2022 Commercial Real Estate International Business Trends Report.1
Some $52.6 billion in transactions took place in 2019.
