What ICSC Attendees Want To Do Most
Meeting with old and new friends is number one on most people’s list.
With ICSC Las Vegas now underway, attendees can finally put into action what they have been hoping to do the most at this year’s show. For many, if not most, attendees that means face-to-face contact.
We’ve been asking attendees for weeks what they are most looking forward to for the show and have been incorporating some of the responses in our run up to the big event. Here are some other wish lists from attendees that might resonate with you.
Matt Hammond, Partner and Senior Vice President at Coreland Companies:
I’m specifically looking forward to meeting with retailers to further understand how they’re adjusting their strategies. Whether expanding in-store return capabilities, enhancing curbside, redesigning to optimize the omnichannel experience or more efficiently stocking merchandise, all of these adjustments affect real estate criteria. The more we know, the better we perform.
Ryan Ash, Vestar Project Director
The ICSC Las Vegas conference is the most important retail real estate event of the year and we are all looking forward to seeing many of our friends, colleagues and partners who we have been able to see in-person in nearly two years. Due to the flurry of transactions over the past year, it will be great to sit down with retailers and discuss their appetite for new space and expansion plans going forward. One topic that we are particularly excited to discuss is new development opportunities. Over the past two years, we have seen populations explode in many of our suburban markets as people have migrated out of the urban cores. Because of this, there is a major need for new retail centers to be developed in these growing communities. We are excited to share some of these new opportunities with the retailers that we have been partners with over the past 30-years.

Spencer Jordan, Senior Vice President of Leasing for Steiner + Associates
I’m looking forward to connecting with my industry friends and meeting dealmakers face-to-face. With the notable shift in our retail landscape, there is much to discuss about how retailers can reach their customers and cater to ecommerce using brick and mortar. If we leave with a number of interesting retail, restaurant and entertainment concepts to explore, I will consider that success.
