CHICAGO—This year's 2022 CREW Network Convention will be held September 21-23 at the Hilton Chicago, where more than 1,200 commercial real estate leaders from all around the globe will come together for deal making, business networking, industry education and leadership development in one event. Among the hundreds of attendees will be panelist Holly Neber, CEO of AEI Consultants, who tells GlobeSt.com that this particular convention is always a must-attend for her, but this year in particular, she says, she is looking forward to the conversation corners and peer exchanges.

Neber will serve as moderator during a breakout session titled: Climate Change Has Moved to the Top of the Agenda. In the presentation, panelists will discuss  the current risks, opportunities, and impacts on commercial and residential real estate; commercial real estate's role in decarbonization efforts; how property insurers are responding to the increased risk of adverse climate events in certain areas of the U.S., and how these solutions could potentially affect commercial property valuations and operating costs; how to decarbonize real estate assets and portfolios and incorporate climate change risks into asset and portfolio valuations; actions real-estate players can take to thrive throughout the climate transition; and, how changes brought on by the climate transition will open new dimensions of competitive differentiation and value creation for real-estate players.

Neber tells GlobeSt.com that attendees of the event have such a broad range of backgrounds so she feels that she consistently learns something about the market that she can leverage for our business planning.
