Proptech company Jurny announced what it calls Jurny MOS, which is supposed to be a management operating system that provides all the capabilities that a boutique hotel or short-term rental operation might need.

There is a common split in commercial software between all-in-one and best-of-breed solutions. The latter are regarded as the most advanced or capable systems for a specific aspect of a company's operations, but which need to be integrated to create a full solution. The former are collections of different capabilities that don't require often complex integration but might not offer an optimum answer to every need. The trade-off is between power and convenience and cost.

Jurny starts with its Jurny OS product, a property management system that has access control, channel management, and the guest mobile app. "Room temperature control, opening and closing doors, customer support chat, accessing check-in information, amenities, extending bookings, and even local recommendations are made available right from the app."
